**Policy/Procedure** 

**1.** If fire personnel pass a fire, accident, or other emergency while en route to another incident, they shall notify Dispatch giving the location of the second fire, accident, or emergency and proceed to the original destination.

**2.** If fire personnel are dispatched to a fire, and upon arrival confirm the need to operate at the location, but spot another fire down the street, they shall notify Dispatch giving the best approximate address possible and operate at the fire to which they were originally dispatched.

**3.** If fire personnel arrive at the address of response and find no fire, but find one elsewhere in the vicinity, they shall notify Dispatch of the general location of the fire and proceed to it. Upon arrival, the first unit on the scene shall correct the address for all other crews responding, provide a condition report, and establish Command.
